Christopher J. Adamson is a California-based poet, critic, essayist, and current Ph.D. candidate in Creative Writing and Literature at the University of Southern California. Born and raised near the red-rock deserts of Utah, he holds an M.F.A. in poetry from Vanderbilt University, and he graduated with honors from both the creative writing and journalism programs at Northwestern University. In 2017 he was a semifinalist for the Discovery/Boston Review prize. He splits his time between Los Angeles and Oakland, where he lives with his partner, the visual artist John Sexton Cornejo.
